Reference and Readers Services
The Reference Department of the Sandwich Public Library provides its patrons access to an impressive collection of resources for use in meeting their informational needs. In addition to the print materials in the Department, patrons have electronic access to thousands of periodicals, journals, newspapers, and databases including Reference USA, Auto Repair Reference Center, Ancestry.com, Heritage Quest, and our newest addition, Mango Languages. Most of the databases are provided by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
Tables in the Reference Department are reserved for quiet study and provide a place for patrons to use their laptops and take advantage of the Library’s WiFi connection.
The Reference staff is available whenever the Library is open to assist patrons search the internet, use the databases and find the right materials to finish up homework projects.
