The Friends of the Sandwich Public Library have a vision. This vision is to “support the Library in its mission to meet the community’s cultural, educational, and recreational needs. Working closely with the Library and concerned citizens in the community, the Friends assist the Library in obtaining additional resources to meet its goals, while acting as a bridge between the Library and the community.” With that vision in mind, the Friends have chosen to fund or help fund: STORY TIMES for babies, toddlers and preschoolers; BOOK GROUPS for children, young adults and adults; a brand new CANON LASER COLOR COPIER; new PASSES to the RISD Art Museum in Providence and the Massachusetts Audubon Society (added to the list of fifteen passes that they have supported for years); a new book drop in South Sandwich; and MANY OTHER PROGRAMS for children, adults and families.
