Friends of the Sandwich Public Library
The Friends of the SPL is a nonprofit organization. The Executive Board of the Friends
meets the third Wednesday of each month. The annual meeting of the Friends is the regular
October meeting and is open to the public. Anyone interested in joining the Board is
encouraged to attend. The Friends hold a book sale every Saturday from 10 - 12.

Trustees
The Sandwich Public Library is governed by nine publicly elected
trustees. The Board of Trustees meets the second Tuesday of the month, September through
June at 7:00 pm in the Macknight Room. Trustee meetings are open to the public unless
advance notice is given indicating otherwise.

Weston Memorial Fund
The Weston Memorial Fund is named after William H.H. and Sophia H.
Weston who bequeathed $34,848 to the town upon their deaths in 1905 and 1906. Today, the
fund is governed by a board of three that is publicly elected. A
fund-raising drive is held once a year to increase the principle of this
fund. Donations are gratefully accepted at any time.
